The fatigue from fifteen hours of daily labor and the anxiety caused by workplace harassment led to a fender bender on my way home.The yellow used car that my father had provided for my commute across the bridge ended up crumpled.I overlap the afterimages of the past encountered in Incheon with the images of bread dough rising in Copenhagen.

On a night in Incheon after my return, Samhwan Park shines brightly.This is a flower bed decorated with light bulbs and named by a security guard at Samhwan Apartments.The affection and warm heart shown in decorating and tending to the garden during shift work summon memories of the hospitality experienced under the night lights of Copenhagen.

At the ambiguous midnight marking the boundary between 2025 and 2026, we wished one another well in English, Chinese, Italian, and Korean. Although no one knew how to celebrate the New Year in Danish, we gathered under the fireworks of Copenhagen, each for our own reasons.

I remember a friend in Copenhagen who went grocery shopping just to let me taste Peruvian ground cherries.I remember a fellow teacher in Incheon who handed me a bouquet of orange gerberas to support me during the process of separating from workplace harassment.Such warm hearts flow deeply and for a long time.
